Plan a cat wall around a corner: platforms and suspension bridges
A cat wall does not have to end at a single wall. Corner platforms and suspension bridges can link two walls to create a climbing route. That is how our own cat wall at MediKratz began: first a suspension bridge, then platforms continuing around a corner.
1. Measure both walls
Note the usable width on both sides of the corner and the planned heights. Allow for doors, windows, furniture and other obstacles. Check the mounting surfaces on both walls; suitable fixings depend on each surface.
2. Plan an accessible starting point
Choose a starting point your cat can reach comfortably, with enough room to move between elements. Distances and heights depend on your cat’s size and mobility. A cat ladder or additional wall platforms can extend the route.
3. Connect the corner with a platform
A corner platform creates the transition between the walls. Our natural and flame-treated corner platforms are listed as 30 × 30 cm. Compare the product dimensions with the available corner and plan the connections to the suspension bridge on each side.
4. Choose suitable suspension bridges
Measure the planned connections before ordering. The selected bridge length is not the total width of the assembled climbing system. Check the product details and allow room for the platforms.
Our corner sets include two platforms, one corner platform and two suspension bridges. The variant selection offers bridge lengths of 50, 75, 100, 150 or 200 cm. Explore the natural corner set or the flame-treated corner set.
5. Allow for resting spots and extensions
Consider where your cat can watch or retreat. Cat walkways connect further spots; a wall box adds a retreat. Leave enough room to move at each transition.
