Wooden cat furniture: natural, flame-treated or with wood stain?
For our cat furniture, natural and flame-treated describe the appearance of the wood. With or without wood stain is an additional surface option offered for cat ladders. Check each product’s variant selection to see which finishes are available.
Natural: let the wood take centre stage
The natural finish suits a lighter wood look. Compare the product photos and choose the option that suits your room. Grain and colour can vary as natural features of the wood.
Flame-treated: a darker wood look
The flame-treated finish creates a darker accent, for example against light-coloured walls. Flame-treated describes the appearance; it does not automatically mean the product is stained or suitable for exposed outdoor use.
With wood stain: our recommendation for outdoor cat ladders
For a cat ladder outdoors, we recommend the available stained finish. Discuss the location and mounting with us if you are unsure. Wood stain does not replace suitable fixings or regular checks of the installation and surface.
Which options are available for each product?
- Cat ladders: natural or flame-treated, with or without wood stain and, depending on the variant, with or without mounting hardware.
- Wall climbing systems, platforms and suspension bridges: compare natural and flame-treated models on their product pages.
- Wall boxes: natural or flame-treated in various sizes. We agree any special cut-outs with you in advance.
How to choose
- Decide where you will use the furniture.
